from WHEAT GRANARY to

BARN of HISTORY

Opening its doors in January 2024, our Museum has given new life to the old Vila do Bispo Granary building, constructed in the 1950’s to serve local wheat farmers. Seventy years on, our Barn of History has taken on a unique mission as a museum, a ‘people’s house’ and a forum for the Local Community, a welcoming space for those visiting the territory and a repository of the Heritage and Collective Memory of the Municipality of Vila do Bispo and its people, an inclusive and participatory project, by everyone and for everyone ...
